Body Composition Scale – BIA Analyzer
A professional body composition analyzer that uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to measure key body metrics. The device passes a low-level electrical current — calibrated to frequencies and intensities close to the body's natural biocurrent parameters — through body tissues to generate highly repeatable measurement results.
Measurement Method
BIA technology works by detecting differences in electrical impulse flow across different tissue types. Because each tissue type (muscle, fat, bone, water) conducts electricity differently, the analyzer can calculate a comprehensive set of body composition metrics from a single non-invasive measurement.
Metrics Measured
- BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) – Estimated energy expenditure required to maintain basic physiological functions at rest.
- BMC (Bone Mineral Content) – Measurement of mineral density in bone tissue.
- Bio Age (Metabolic Age) – A calculated index comparing metabolic rate against age-based reference data.
- TBF% (Total Body Fat Percentage) – Body fat as a percentage of total body weight.
- TBW% (Total Body Water Percentage) – Body water content as a percentage of total body weight.
- SM% (Skeletal Muscle Rate) – Skeletal muscle mass expressed as a percentage of total body weight.
- VFI% (Visceral Fat Index) – Index measuring adipose tissue surrounding internal organs.
- BMI (Body Mass Index) – Ratio of body weight to height squared, per standard formula.
